The way the art market is organized excludes the participation of two basic groups that may bring life to it, i.e, the public and artists.

The public is discouraged by the extremely high prices and the ''elite'' places where art is exposed and comes to an understanding that this is an ''expensive'' game meant for the highest social classes and the economically powerful.

The artists on the other hand, after years of trying, continuously find the system doors closed: a scant of number public means that the art market fits fewer artists, while in some cases the galleries have a greater economic interest for well known names that will certainly generate profit, rather than for young people where an initial investment should be made.

Thus, even if an artist manages to participate in some exhibitions, it is highly unlikely that they will be able to create the conditions that will allow them to live by their art.
Therefore, a limited audience and discouraged to continue artists, create a vicious circle that prevents the contemporary art to blossom.

This is the setting in which our dream was formed ... “to give the opportunity to everyday people to acquire original works of contemporary art, while spotlighting at the same time noteworthy new artists and supporting them to live through their art ...''

The first big step for us in attracting new and sometimes uninitiated public, relates to the price: the cooperating artists and the art centre Terre d 'artistes set extremely low fees for their services, thus offering the works of art in prices that everyone can afford.  
Aiming to draw the attention to the painting field itself and not on its cost, the works of art of Terre d 'artistes are being made in specific dimensions, each of which has a fixed price, regardless of artist, style etc. Our normal sizes are three, with corresponding prices ranging from 76 to 395 euros!

Ensuring the art value of the works is of course a prerequisite in making the whole venture meaningful. For this reason and having the support of a group of experts, we select the big names of tomorrow: most of our artists are top of the class graduates from the Athens School of Fine Arts; young people with a rich resume, full of participations in art exhibitions and other artistic events. Our low budget logic combined with an extremely wide range of valuable art works -over 500- which are unique (each created only once) and original (oil on canvas, etc), give to everyone the possibility to acquire the work that fits them and excites them. All works that are available at any time are presented in the section “Works of art”.

In order to facilitate the public of the art centre Terre d 'artistes, the tour is supported by sophisticated computer touch screens, making the whole experience unique. More details about us can be found under the section ''The art centre''.

The true liberation of the contemporary art depends on our willingness to make it a part of our everyday life. With this in mind, we created the conditions so that art can be offered as a gift -to a wedding, for a client, etc.  The main option of the ones discussed in the section ''A special gift'', is the ability of the person who buys art as a gift, to change it within a month with any other of our collection.
